This Mid-Century inspired walnut sideboard was designed to provide extra storage in a client’s guest house here in Santa Fe. She loves midcentury design and the guest house has contemporary lines which we aimed to echo in this piece. The straight tapered legs paired with the clean geometry of the case create this balance. The case work is solid walnut with mitered corners on the top edges. The drawer faces are book-matched highly figured claro walnut. The drawers themselves are solid dovetailed walnut and mounted with euro style under mount soft-close slides. The pulls are custom made in our shop from brass and leather. They are recessed into the top of the drawer faces to be flush with the surface. They are pleasing to touch and patina beautifully over time.
